RJC Engineers Wins Canadian Consulting Engineering Award of Excellence

The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies-Canada (ACEC) and Canadian Consulting Engineer announced RJC Engineers as a recipient of this year’s Awards of Excellence. RJC was honoured alongside other engineering firms at the 2022 Canadian Consulting Engineering (CCE) Awards on the evening of November 3rd. Known as the highest form of recognition for excellence in the industry, these awards celebrate incredible engineering projects from across the country.

RJC Engineers led the renewal of St. Andrew’s Wesley United Church, a notable Vancouver landmark originally built in the early 1930s. The structure’s long-term future was preserved through key improvements to seismic resiliency, envelope durability, and occupant safety and accessibility. Through a concerted heritage restoration process, the revitalized exterior thoughtfully reflects the building’s heritage while the restored interior renews its original glory for generations to come.

St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church officially reopened its doors after two years of renovation on November 14^th, 2021. Executive Director of Operations at St. Andrew’s-Wesley, Diane Mitchell, credits the team led by RJC Engineers with Ryder Architecture with “navigating the complexity of the project and delivering a beautiful result that the church can be immensely proud of.”
