Michael Pond

Michael is driven by the pursuit of excellence and a passion to improve the performance, durability, resiliency, and sustainability of the built environment. He is attentive to details and takes a common sense approach to problem solving. Michael is responsible for leading a group of highly talented engineers and technologists whose work focuses on turn-key engineering solutions and contract administration services for the maintenance, rehabilitation, and conservation of existing buildings.
He draws on his extensive technical knowledge of buildings and bridge structures to develop customized rehabilitation strategies to suit his clients’ needs, their assets and their site specific requirements. His projects include building systems renewal solutions and upgrade studies, capital renewal, project management, capital expenditure planning, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete restoration, building condition assessments, and heritage structure restoration and conservation.
Michael completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Western Ontario and a certificate in Professional Communication at the University of Toronto. He recognizes sustainable design and durable building renewal are at the forefront of renewable resource initiatives, climate change, and adaptive reuse of existing buildings.
