The Bob Wright Centre at the University of Victoria is a science building that provides 137,000 sq. ft. of wet and dry laboratories, two lecture theatres, offices, meeting rooms and food services.

Working closely with the architect, the university, and the construction manager, RJC developed a simple, flexible and cost effective structural system that achieved the budget goals in a time of rapid escalating construction costs.

In collaboration with the vibration consultant, RJC conceived a creative structural support system for the Astronomy department telescope that met the very strict vibration criteria without the originally planned costly and intrusive totally isolated system.
