5800 Explorer Drive Roof Replacement
The building located at 5800 Explorer drive is primarily used as office space with five storeys above grade plus a mechanical penthouse.
The building has a footprint of approximately 21,600 square feet.
Existing roofing systems included modified bitumen membranes and built up roofing systems.
The building was constructed circa 1999.
Roofing replacement consisted of the wholesale removal of the existing roof assemblies (including flashings) down to the existing structural deck, as well as the removal and disposal of existing aggregate.
The new roofing assembly consisted of a conventional 2-ply modified bitumen membrane “white roof” system complete with new insulation, membrane flashings, metal flashings, and other accessories.
